Bringing this here mostly for those wanting to open a dog boarding facilty, as they may wish to note the best dog resort. I did laugh at them at around the pool.
Interesting to see Orijen is chosen as the best pet food for the third year running.
Mine was on James Wellbeloved and getting a bit tubby. I changed to to JW lite version and started weighing his meals. That cut his food by three full meals a week, plus being on the lite version.
Still no weight loss.
Changed to Orijen and in ten days can see a difference!
He'd never lost his waist, so not a fatty but neither did he look right.
I daresay I could have reduced his weight had I walked him more often, but due to his fear/hatred of other dogs, has to be walked on a lead where I can see for a distance. Oh! How I would love to see him running free.
He also, coming to the end of his JW store, started eating other dog's poo. He'd never done that in the eighteen months I'd had him. He is seven now I think.
I found that abhorrent, not only for the obvious, but concerned at medications he may be picking up.
Like all of us I'm sure, I hit Google.
The overall opinion is lack of Thiamine, a B vitamin.
Couldn't find a solution, though loads on USA sites.
Found vits emphasising the Bs for the nervous system at PAH.
So am now weighing the Orijen plus a PAH tab. He is now ignoring poo.
All is great for now. Whether that's the food or vits, I have no idea, but all is good at present.
Hope this helps you dog owners.
Mad me forgot the link. http://gripetfoods.com/index.htm
