Hi everyone, I've now got a Draytek 2820VN and I'm having trouble getting it to connect to the internet. The ADSL light goes green and it seems to have it but I try and connect and nothing happens. I have screen prints but they are on open office word. urm... Help?

What else have you done besides plugging it in? Entered your ISP username/password via the router's configuration pages?0

Hi,
I've entered my static ip but what is all the different PPPoE/ PPPoA and MPoA?
Can I email you screen prints?Help me to help you :santa2:0 -
UK connections use PPPoE/PPPoA. Also, as mentioned above, you'll need your ISP user name and password to enter in the router's config page in order to connect to your ISP. The router's ADSL light will come on green as there is a DSL signal on the line, but without the user/pword you won't authenticate to your bb service and therefore won't ba able to access the net

Where does is say that? You are confusing Router name and domain name with User name and password I think.robert_harper_2000 wrote: »How do I work out my ip dns primary and secondary the gateway etc?
Ask your ISP or look at you old modem config.
We have the same Draytek at work with a different ISP but with a static IP and I don't need to enter that info but it does need the user name and password.0 -
for the DNS servers, ther's usually an option in the DNS setup page of the router to tick to auto-detect your ISP's DNS servers, or to enter your own as the other option.......Gettin' There, Wherever There is......
