Energy usage/switching advice

Hi, we moved in to a 2 bed new build flat in December, Electric only, no gas on the development.

We have electric panel heaters (that were rarely on due to the good insulation) and our water is heated overnight - we're on Scottish Power's Standard tariff, with Economy 7.

Usage for the first 5 months was around 1960 kWh, works out around 12kWh per day, and based on figures from last month (where I've been charging electronic gadgets overnight using a timer), around 25% of energy is used overnight on the cheaper Economy 7 rate.

I've had a look on the comparison sites as I'm wanting to cap/fix, and leaving Economy 7 unchecked gives me a better price. The best price with Economy 7 checked is with OVO Energy £559 yearly spend.

As far as I can see 25% is going to be the highest off peak rate usage I can achieve given the recent changes I've made and my daily electricity usage habits (this figure still seems quite low to me, water heating, washing machine and gadget charging only happens off peak).

If I wanted to choose a non Economy 7 tariff, can I do this without having to change my meter, and could I still make use of the online switching services for cashback?

Also if I was to go with OVO Energy that calculates my yearly spend as £559, is there any indication what the monthly direct debit amount would be? I've read that some people have been given wildly inflated DD from OVO.

Any comments on this much appreciated, as well as any general observations regarding my usage - wondering if this all looks ok for an all electric flat (2 people) given the above?

Thank you for any advice...

Thanks, not easy this switching lark eh? :)

Any idea regarding how much monthly direct debits would be set at? Maybe I'll phone OVO to get an indication...
