Default charges on credit history

Options
I recently checked my credit history and found i had defaults against me on an old current account. On my history its says these were missed consecutively for 3 months or 2 months over different periods. Although we went overdrawn i know my account was brought back into line each month when my wages went in. Is there anyway of getting evidence for these defaults as the bank aren't being very helpful in handing oveer the information?

Why not ask for a copy of your statements for the account where the adverse data is reported from?
    Best Regards

If you went overlimit or had items returned the bank is entitled to mark these as missed payments, even if you brought the account back into credit.

Thanks for the reply ZPPP. Ive asked them for the relevant statements but they arent helping with handing them over because i closed the account a year ago. I didnt know if they had to give them to me because ive asked for them or if i would have to put more pressure on them by asking for them under the consumer credit act?

Im not arguing the fact i have missed payments on my credit history its the mark of 3+ on my record which indicates agreed payments were 3months behind. I know my payments were paid each month so were never more than a few weeks behind.

It means you went overlimit/had stuff returned three months in a row. Which is true, by your own admission.

your not really answering my question juicy jesus. I admit i went overdrawn on my account what i am disputing is the fact i went overdrawn three months in a row, this i havent admitted. What i am asking is how i get the evidence from the bank when they arent handing it over.

To clarify, you went unauthorised overdrawn every month for 3 months?

Send them a subject access request (SAR). It'll cost you a tenner or so but you'll get everything they have on you!

You didn't answer my question asking for clarification.

Depending on your answer I could save you a tenner! ;)

Just wondering if anyone else has experienced this?

I've just found out that if you have a bounced direct debit from a First Direct current account - even if you pay it the same day - they sent that to the credit reference agencies as a late payment, which flags up as a '1 / Warning' on your credit record.

The customer services woman has just cheerfully told me they are the only bank that do it and that their regime is 'harsher' than other banks.

Other banks don't do it unless the payment is a month late but FD do it even if you pay the bounced payment within the hour! Astonishing and a total rip off.

It must have hit tens of thousands of people ...

I only found out as they have placed SIX 'Late Payments' on my credit file, even though I have never not made a payment.

I am very angry and want to warn others.
