All vacuumed here today - after cleaning up a puddle of cat bleurgh off the kitchen floor.
WM x 1 waiting to go when Minion finally gets off her behind and puts her white washing in there.
Washing up of cat bowls has been bravely completed by hand [shudders at the thought of the crusty meat blobs from last night that I had to chisel off them]. The fish have had their plantation pruned and the pump adjusted to increase their oxygen levels, as they seemed a little unhappy as it was. They are quite cute little things, really.
Dinner stuff sitting in sink waiting to be thought about, as Shepherd Spies went down very well (and I tried the handful of oats to make it go further trick - it worked). But there is a suspiciously potatoey-looking smear on the rug, so she will be cleaning that up as well.
Splats still occupying the new sofa. Nice to know they approve of my furnishing choices.
However, planted out two Marguerites, two white trailing verbena, a tiny pink fuschia and some night scented stock I raised from seed. Hope they still look as good tomorrow - I love gardening, but it's hard trying to fill in the spaces from scratch and make sure there will be more flowers to follow later in the season. I chucked some larkspur seeds around willy nilly as well. Rather glad that the person who fitted the hanging basket bracket for me did it with supporting my body weight in mind, as I had to grab hold of it to steady myself at one point. Just had a quick wander outside before Springwatch and noticed that the garden is teeming with ladybirds and pollinating insects - all I am missing is some high level cover for birds and a pond. There's always next year for that, though.
Glad your scan went well, Seafarers, and I can sympathise with the fooked knee and the steroid jab in the foot.
I'm now draped elegantly [snort] on the new sofa with brilliant sunshine shining in through the rain. The weather is rather strange this week, but at least it means I don't have to water the garden today.I could dream to wide extremes, I could do or die: I could yawn and be withdrawn and watch the world go by.Yup you are officially Rock n Roll0 -
I have decided the girls are not having the colour scheme they want in their room but they are having the walls pale lemon/buttermilkish and turquoise..
That sounds very special! Maybe you could use the border to outline the window and door?
Minion wants dark colours, so have said that I am perfectly happy for her to have deep purple, dark pink and black soft furnishings, but she has to have pale, neutral walls and woodwork. I am thinking of having a patterned wallpaper on my far bedroom wall and, having relocated my bookcase up there, think that I probably don't need to add much in the way of detail up there, other than the cushions I can make with the posh offcuts from the interior design shop round the corner.
Although I am considering making a tote bag from some of them, seeing as the sewing machine is down and working nowBecause, obviously, another handbag is sooo important.
Might even try flogging a few bags if they come out alright, and that could pay for getting the main part of the downstairs painted cream, and the kitchen a pale, pale dusty blue. Oh, and the posh fabric i need to recover the knackered armchair.I could dream to wide extremes, I could do or die: I could yawn and be withdrawn and watch the world go by.Yup you are officially Rock n Roll0 -

that wouldn't work as there is a picture rail.. i'll do 'before' pics once I get the room vaguely reasonable!.. it will get used ..
That sounds like the colour I have my kitchen.. I love it..

I also have some matching border which should be good for something.. not sure if we have enough to do the 4 walls.. it was bought before we moved and I thought the room they got would be smaller.. but I'll find something.. I am talented like that lol.
When I had my first house, I had a border in the hall, which was entirely made up of sample pieces, i had 'sampled' from a well known hardware store- the widest part of the wall in the hallway was only four feet, the rest was 6-7 inches between the door frames and the end of the hall facing the door was 2.5ft... Anyway - on my last 'sample' it was about 6 inches short of the 2.5 feet I needed which was the wall right at the end of the hall.... So I swear on my childs life... I cut it in half - stuck each part to the door frame sides...
.... and hung a mirror over the gap in the middle...
It was in this same house I put all of my shelves up with No-Nails...toottifrootti wrote: »

The room is 4m square... so that wouldn't work.. ingenious though!! I think I have 6x 2m rolls but there are 2 doors, 1 window so I probably have enough for 3 walls... We'll sort something.
I have the 2 bags to go to CS tomorrow..I want the side alley sweeping too so I may get on with that when Squeak has a nap tomorrow and OH can do some shovelling..
Oh.. I am trying to finish the cardy for Squeak tonight as well.. then I realised the frill is going to take 1000 years to knit so it might not be finished for a couple of daysI want to get a few done for Dot so need to get this one done.

Evening everyone.
just written down the lists to start tackling some of them over the next couple of days
Flying wise - just washing to put out tomorrow and daillies in the kitchen and everywhere. Did repair a pair of trousers instead of putting it off as usual so that's good! Having a rest from exercise today as legs are a bit achy and have physio tomorrow so a couple of days off now.
Did prep tomorrow nights tea as will get in late from physio so no excuse to snack on rubbish. Did wash up after so kitchen all nice and tidy again
Diet wise - going well this week after all the exam stress and have not lost any weight but have lost some inches so getting back to normal measurements again which is good so weigh day is Friday and lets see how it goesfinal unsecured debt to repay currently £8333Proud to be Dealing With my DebtDFW Nerd 1154 Long Haul 1550 -

Also, I've decluttered three walks with Sidney,:T and spent some considerable time getting him to eat his very bland food (imagine if you had to only eat Ryvita with nothing on for the rest of your life_pale_). As he's diabetic, it's important that he eats the correct amount.:o
So.... I'm currently two Frogs behind, and tbh, unlikely to catch up with them.:(If your dog thinks you're the best, don't seek a second opinion.;)0 -
