It's similar but the points system is different, have a look at the following site.

There will be no more IB medicals so it is a bit of a moot point but they were different.

That was the whole point in designing it of course.

Are there any stats available on the IB reassessments yet?
ie - as a percentage, how many claims are passed on the form alone, how many go to ATOS assessment, how many pass that assessment on points and end up in WRAG, how many end up in the Support group. Of those who end up in the Support group, how many get there without getting to 15 points - ie for the non descriptor reasons?

Would be interesting to see if there is any correlation with the ESA new claims, as the IB reassessment claimants are likely to have been claiming for a very long time.

Might keep the govt stats bods busy for an equally long time methinks!

I would have thought it too early to gather any real statistics yet?
Just sold a lawnmower on Ebay.. That's the last time my neighbour will wake me up on a Saturday morning!

I think you are probably right Country Guy - it is too early to capture meaningful numbers yet on the IB reassessments.

Although anecdotal info might be interesting too - I haven't really got an idea of what is actually happening 'on the ground'.

I have spoken to one charity who is helping people with claims - their impression seems to be that in the first instance "everyone's claim for ESA is being refused" and then a percentage allowed on appeal.

Impossible to know for sure until we have some stats I suppose.
