What has happened is sharp practice but that's what you must expect from PDL company's, what's done is done, best to wipe your mouth and move on.

Applied for a loan with this what i thought was a registered business. Now i think its a con. I got a call regarding a loan request from Lending stream after a good chat they agreed to loan me the Amount i required at what i thought was a good rate.

My repayments where £335 pcm starting november 2012
    followed by the remaining payments.
They rang me to say because my credit rating was sparkling i had to pay the first months repayment up front so i paid the £335 via bank transfer. Then 2 hours later they wanted a futher £670 to finalise and get a unique pin that i use instead of my own pin at the cash point. Today cost me £1005 and i earnt £85
Today ive been ripped big time.

Contact number i had for them is Tel 0208 144 7514
And they confirmed this was there help line number in the email with all the credit consumer registration numbers and company registration. IS THERE ANYTHING THAT CAN BE DONE TO GET THIS MONEY BACK?? Or is it legal for me to set up a website and con people the same way because i could certainly live better on £1000 per day

Did you not read the T&C's before giving your money away ?

If your credit rating is so sparkling why did you choose these guys over a more reputable lender ?

You could try writing them a letter requestring the money back

Might be a good idea to chnage your bank account too so no more money is taken.

OMG!!!! You say that this company cold called you and arranged for you to borrow off them. Then they took over £1000 from your bank before they had lent you a bean????? Have you checked who that number belongs to?

    * Edit. I originally posted an incorrect website. Sorry.

You have been so well and truly had.

I very much doubt that it was THE Lending Stream that you have been conned by as, according to your post, you have sent them more than they would lend to a first time borrower!

The real Lending Stream are a payday loan company that do not require an upfront payment.

I'd never heard of such a blatent advance fee fraud before, but here's a whole bunch of examples.

    (Differnt number, similar con)

    Such blatent brass neck!!!

Basically, a call out of the blue announces your £xxxx loan has been approved and one way or another you need to pay up front to release your funds.
If like Ginge2010, you had recently requested a loan from some or other legitimate loan company, then it might sound plausible.

Please folks. Don't be so unwise as to pre-pay on a loan, especially when contacted out of the blue by phone or email.

How much were you trying to borrow????

Did you Really need a loan if you have a spare £1000 you can just throw away, no questions asked?

Surely alarm bells must have been ringing, especially the second request?
