Lol by that reasoning all the users of this site would be damn near destitute, if we all had used very loan service.
FYI I've never had a loan in my life, I only recently even got round to getting a credit card. I lurk around the forums in order to boost my money not lament its loss.
Different strokes for different folks0 -

You can choose to live your financial life behind the curve - where bills always appear to be unexpected and unplanned.
But the reality is you can clear your debts, build up a savings cushion and - when the unexpected happens - meet the commitment without resorting to crappy loan companies, overdraft charges and extended credit card debt.
Do without a few luxuries for a short period and you'll soon be able to put yourself in a far better position financially. If you can be bothered.0 -

I'm here to evangelise about managing money sensibly and not spending money you don't have. Living within my means has stood me in good stead. I have never had debt other than an affordable mortgage, and I now have a very comfortable savings cushion.
I'm not a mega high earner, and had periods in my life where I was living hand to mouth. But it was always MY hand, not someone else's.
I can't imagine what it is like to wake up in the morning wondering how I am ever going to pay off £30k worth of car finance, credit card lending, and HP. Because I've never had to.
I'll now sit back and wait for a pile other 'spendomatic' forum members to roll up, miss the point completely, and tell me I'm lucky and to stop being so smug.
To misquote from another forum member's signature: Your best days are those when you acknowledge that your problems are your problems, and not the responsibility of your spouse, your parents, your bank, your employer, the government, Polish plumbers, the council, your children, the taxman, or Welsh Nationalists!
Although Welsh nationalists may have something to answer for I think....Optimists see a glass half full
Pessimists see a glass half empty

^^ The Welsh ALWAYS have something to answer for.
I love how the op assumes we all live off shonky payday loans (snigger etc)"We want the finest wines available to humanity, we want them here, and we want them now!"0 -

I have a house that I bought last year and then gutted it, and due to the cautious way I do things with money its still not completely finished, as I'm doing it as I can afford it. (It'll be very nice when its done)
I'm simply here to offer a little advice on the things I know about, and hopefully add a bit of levity by pointing out how ridiculous situations can be.Hi, we’ve had to remove your signature. The fact that some of us are on this forum is because we have a sense of bewilderment and curiosity as we look at the predicament that some borrowers have got themselves into. It is not because we have ever had a problem in paying back a loan ourselves.I can afford anything that I want.
Just so long as I don't want much.0 -
OK all points taken on board. Thanks again to all and I think I have learnt a valuable lesson - or indeed several!0

Applied for a loan with this what i thought was a registered business. Now i think its a con. I got a call regarding a loan request from Lending stream after a good chat they agreed to loan me the Amount i required at what i thought was a good rate.
My repayments where £335 pcm starting november 2012
followed by the remaining payments.
They rang me to say because my credit rating was sparkling i had to pay the first months repayment up front so i paid the £335 via bank transfer. Then 2 hours later they wanted a futher £670 to finalise and get a unique pin that i use instead of my own pin at the cash point. Today cost me £1005 and i earnt £85
Today ive been ripped big time.
Contact number i had for them is Tel 0208 144 7514
And they confirmed this was there help line number in the email with all the credit consumer registration numbers and company registration. IS THERE ANYTHING THAT CAN BE DONE TO GET THIS MONEY BACK?? Or is it legal for me to set up a website and con people the same way because i could certainly live better on £1000 per day0 -
