At approximately 12.45pm Tuesday 24 May a member of staff visited the Asda at One Stop. Having paid for their goods, they also requested some cash back.
Outside the premises she was then approached by a male and female, with a £20 note in hand, claiming that it was her money and had that she had dropped it near to the Asda pay tills. They then requested that she recount her money.
Clearly, the intention was for the money to be snatched. Unbeknown to them the member of staff had only taken a £10 cash back and was not duped.
Male description: Possible European/Albanian/Romanian, approx. 30yrs, 5'8" height, medium build, short black hair, black/dark trousers & jacket, black shoes with distinctive strip of patent leather on top.
Female description: approx. 30 yrs, possible European/Albanian/Romanian, maybe long hair tied back.
Both spoke with foreign accent.
Any persons fitting description should be reported to security.
