Ok, i thought I would post on here because I have an idea but didnt know whether I am allowed to do it.
Basically I got told on Tuesday that I am going to be made redundant. They want me to stay on until the Finance system we use is obsolete (Feb to March 2012).
I dont have any insurance for redundancy.
So My Idea was do i take out the policy now without letting them know that Im getting made redundant in Feb and when I get made redundant next year claim on the policy.
That way I get my mortgage paid for for 6 months or so.
Any thoughts

This is committing fraud. They ask you if you know of any reason why you may loose your job, including knowldege of upcoming redundancies. If they find out - and they do ask information of employers - then you will be in serious trouble. Your choice whether you lie to the insurance company, but I wouldn't recommend it.0
