Hi,
I've recently joined up with https://www.freecall.com to make free/cheap calls, and also used the services of https://www.voiptalk.org, so that I have a geographic number that diverts to the soft phone which I am currently using (Counterparts' X-Lite 3).
My problem is, that X-Lite 3 only offers the ability to input one sip account .
Does anyone know of another free softphone that does all the things that X-Lite 3 does, but allows 2 or more sip accounts pointing to it.
Voiptalk does allow the number to forward to freecall.com but then I can't make use of the voicemail on Voiptalk.
I've also looked at the old X-Lite 2 that does allow more than one account, but it looks rather clunky and doesn't allow things like 'Do not disturb' so I can then forward calls to voicemail.
Any help would be gratefully received.
Thanks
Dean

i have just been looking at a softphone called ExpressTalk which apparently allows more than one account, but i have not tried it yet.0

If you have any luck with it please let me know. I did have a quick look a while back but it was asking me to open ports on my router (which none of the others did). Also when I did open the ports it suggested it still thought that they weren't open.

My understanding is that sjphone can use multiple accounts, but Im not sure if it registers to all VSP at the same time
I use ekiga (gnomemeeting) myself which does what you want to do, but its not available on windows.
Might be worth looking into voxalot.com , which is what I use for my hardware solution at the moment. Its kind of a VSP manager thing - very handy.
EDIT: Actually Voxalot.com will defo do what you want.0 -
Thanks Kingmonkey, I'll take a look.

I use SJPhone for my set up. You can have multiple accounts, however you can only log onto one account at a time."An eye for an eye leaves the whole world blind" - Mahatma Gandhi0

Hi Kingmoney,
It looks like voxalot is a service and suggests X-Lite as a softphone.
Pin, I've tried SJPhone, but as you say, it can only handle one account at a time.
Thanks

Yes voxalot is a service which registers other VSP and allows you to make dial plans.0

Does X-Pro handle multiple accounts?
Another NCH product I saw discussed elsewhere is Uplink, a Skype/SIP adaptor, which could have some call forwarding possibilities if I can my head around it. Has anybody here tried it? It looks like you'd leave the PC on or stick it on a separate server though.0 -

I think X-Pro has multiple accounts."An eye for an eye leaves the whole world blind" - Mahatma Gandhi0
