I'm genuinely curious as to why you'd go to Payplan or CCCS and then not tell them about a couple of debts.... What was the reason for that?

Hey Weller,
Just for you information Payplan and CCCS are charities. They were set up by the Government a few years ago and all the banks and building socs pay them to keep them going. In short, every single penny you pay them, goes to a creditor. The banks etc trust them because they get more money and are more reliable.
GP are a private company. They make money out of you. A large proportion of the money that you give them for your debts will stay with them. They are also notoriously bad at organising your debts and the banks are more likely to reject their offers, because they don't trust them.
Please stay away from GP and all others like them.
I know things seem bad at the moment, but you will get through this. You need to get hyper organised and you need the whole family on board. Please stick around, you will get alot of help. Please don't feel like you are alone. You are not.0 -

Ouch! At least you've now realised it wasn't the brightest idea you've ever had.
Good luck with sorting it out, and don't get too stressed, it only makes things worse.Retired in 2015.

you will probably find more support on here than anyway else!
sounds to me that you have all the creditors sorted except the one (or 2) you forgot to include in the plan. once they see what you can afford, you will be able to make all the payments that were agreed and then you will be back on an even keel. just because CCCS can't help you, doesn't mean that the creditors will reverse the agreement you have already made with them.I'm a Forum Ambassador on the housing, mortgages & student money saving boards. (Sorry, I mean I hope you are all not in debt, just posting.) Still need to do a pro-rata thingy though, so if anybody can point me in the right direction............................0

What if they won't let me pay by standing order?0 -

Can I be really nosy and ask why they wouldn't help you? Won't be offended if you don't want to answer!!!0 -
