Acceptable amount of time?

Morning All,

I have recently started selling on ebay.

I sold an item on 22nd May and the buyer still has not paid. I sent them the payment details and also a polite message, but still nothing. So yesterday i opened an unpaid item case. Is this an acceptable amount of time to wait?

The reason i ask is i sold another item (auction end date 29th May) done the same as above sent payment details and a polite message but still nothing. How long would you wait before opening a case?

More than acceptable, ebay allow you to open 4 days after the listing end & then close 4 days after that if no payment received.
I have set my account up to open automatically after 4 days, some people may forget that they've bid, others seem to just like bidding.
Make sure that your buyer requirements are set tight.

I have started being a bit stricter now and tend to open an NPB on about day 4-5 for my business account and about 5-6 on my private account. I don't have time enough to waste on tardy or non payers and the sooner non payers get 2 strikes the sooner they find themselves unable to bid on anything.

I don't really get a lot of non payers though although looking at my blocked logs i have blocked quite a few overall with my seller preferences. I also do still get pathetic little emails occasionally from a non payers several weeks or months after the event pleading with me to remove the strike as they appear to be blocked from ebay generally..and i ignore those.
