Pls help, think I may have been scammed :(

I bought a netbook from a member on Thursday, not long before the auction ended I sent a message to the seller asking if the charger was included, got a quick reply to say it had been.

Then when the auction ended, I contacted the seller asking if she could send it first class, instead of second, and I pay the extra postage, no reply, so I paid for it on friday as I didn't want to hold up the postage.

I logged on to ebay today and clicked on her feedback to see this 5 negs warning it's a scammer in the last couple of days, she has a 238 feedback.

I'm at a loss as what to do now, shall I wait too see if it comes? will I be able to get my money back if not?

If you don't receive it open an INR through paypal & you will get your money back.
Had the sellers account been dormant for a long time & suddenly started to be used to sell?

I assume you paid via paypal? in which case you are fully covered.

Incidentally, sending somehting 2nd class that should be sent buy courier or special delivery should have flagged a potential issue up to you as it showed that seller had nothing to lose.

Nope the seller has been selling all during May.
How long should I wait to open and INR?

Yes I paid by Paypal, I didn't even think about that, how stupid of me. I've not bought anything like this from an individual on there, will be more careful in the future.

I don't think you can open it until it's late according to the postage method & dispatch time they've specified.

That's for an ebay claim but I would suggest that the OP goes straight to a paypal claim as it is more rigid. A paypal claim can be opened in 7 days after payment.

There's a thread a few days old where someone had been sent a laptop recorded delivery.
