if the answer is no how do I find a charity more local to me - I'm assuming there must be a list somewhere ???

use google search {area} cancer charities and it will give a list of cancer charities within your area.

i did a search for north east cancer charities and it gave a good selection

thank you all so much for your replies. I love the idea of being able to choose a different cancer charity every year , as you don't know what will happen in the future and certain charities may be more important to me at different times.
Do you think it will be safe to start organising this now even though I haven't heard back from Cancer Research ?? as now I'm not going to be using their name, I will purely state cancer charities
I'm thinking of setting up a facebook page just for the special range of cards although it will still come under my main small business . Then that way I can update people how much we have raised etc and introduce new cards to the range on there as well.
I have quite a few people happy to donate photos for the cards which is great and one of them is my Aunts grandaughter so that will be lovely to keep it in the family
I'm also thinking that on special occasions - for example my Aunts 80th birthday is in August we can produce a special card for the range and donate more money from that card
all ideas at the moment but loving the idea

If you're just promoting as 'to cancer charities', you may as well get started. One or another of the charities will be happy to take your cash if you're not riding on the back of their brand.
