    Is that a small Rhubarb on the bottom right of the top photo? Other than that, that's a lot of weeds - good luck if you decide to take it.

    TBH I wouldn't bother, you'll just have gluts of veg at the same time they're cheap as chips in the shops and nothing when veg is expensive to buy.

    we have an allotment! we love it! its relaxing its not all about growing / flowers if it was u would be diappointed!
    its the people they have lots of years of knowledge to pass on your forever learning, the statisfaction in growing new
    stuff trial and error! when we go to the allotment you lose yourself into it and forget about time and problems!
    if i was taking this allotment on i would start at one end sort out area for composting then skim the top! the dig dig dig!
    as for mares tail you will never get rid of it just keep pulling it up!
    the best think is once you have had enough you can just walk away for the day but if you are keen gardener you will
    wish there was more hours in the day! nothing like a cold drink and sitting back looking at what you achieve!
    i say give it a go what have you to lose!

    well i started in tubs in back garden after reading this forum and seeing how everyone else is doing and am loving it only thing is i only have a small garden and am running out of room lol will put some pics on shortly of what i have going on in garden.

    you also need to work out is it too far from your home? ours is a couple minutes away the closer the better! plus how much a year! ours is £7.50 cheap hobby!
    plus your would soon fill it up with lots of goodies!

    gooseberrys
    red/ white currents
    rhubarb (lovely)
    sweetcorn
    swede
    cabbage
    cauls
    broc
    sprouts
    runner and french beans
    peas
    carrots
    garlic
    onions
    leeks
    parsnips
    lots salad stuff
    flowers
    two apple trees
    nothing like going up there in the evening to cut some flowers for the vase!
    plus u will get your garden back :j

    this is some of the things i have in back garden any advice on the cherry tree and squash would be appreciated.

    cherry tree has brown spots on leaves and squash has yellow on some of leaves.

    sorry dont know about them but look on allotments 4 all website its really good with loads of people with advice
    plus be perpared to get addicted im sure you will love it! when you first start u will prob think what have i done!!
    but that will not last long!

    Hi it is about 15 min walk. and £76 a year which all of them around where i live is that price. although i dont go out and you cant beat taste of fresh veg and fruit and the achievment i have grown it myself :)
