what type of wood flooring and underlay? - differing opinions received

We are looking to get a room redone with wood flooring. It is approx 17m2.

I have gone to about 4 wood showrooms, and each have given me a slightly different story.

We have a concrete floor underneath, with underfloor heating. All have recommended engineered wood.

But the quality of the underlay that people recommend varies from £3/m2 to about £75/m2 !

also - some recommend gluing or nailing down, whilst others say they can provide a floating floor.

Any opinions/advice I would love to hear.

We are laying engineered flooring in the new build it will be put down with 3 rolls of "barrier underlay" at a total cost of £37.50 for about 45m2.

This will be a floating floor so that with the heat in floor rising and falling the wood can move. If it is nailed there will be no give in it. The joints will however be glued.
