Freecorder recording .....bad reviews??

Always done the business for me, for recording music, then listened to appalling reviews online about it (Spyware etc) and uninstalled, admittedly it felt like it slowed the computer down a little.

Tried "rated" convertors and they've virtually destroyed my computer!
Free YouTube downloader take a bow! :mad::mad:

Has anyone else got a downer on Freecorder? May well go back to them..much much quicker than the others.

So any FREE and SIMPLE to use sound recorders/convertors out there? Or just a convertor? Looked at many and tried a few and all they seem to want to do in my (and other users experiences) is cripple and infect computers! :mad:

Please give me something simple, so no Audacity then .

Thanks but I'm sure I've downloaded it before, and uninstalled not long after! Too complex for a computer simpleton like me .

That was the beauty of Freecorder: one click to record. Plus easy and quick conversion (if needed). Until that is, I read about and experienced all its nasties.
