Mortgage worry

Hi everyone
Myself and my wife saw our broker last night to get our mortgage moving.
I'm really stressing out! I have exams as well this week so the double stress is really bad...
Can anyone give me some good words of encouragement?
My banks statements were not too good although there are no bounced payments and all direct debits paid on time.
I was in my overdraft at the begginning of the three month period but cleared it with a credit card transfer - the following month i then paid my credit card off so it now has zero balance.
I have not been in my overdraft for the last two months.
I have a remaining debt of £1,180 on a credit card and between us there are no other loans or credit cards.
We supplied 3 payslips each, id etc..
The broker said not to worry and things should push through fine but i'm really panicking.
Please help calm me down so i can study!
P.S - dont decide to buy a house at the same time as doing exams!
Yours

Appreciate this isn't the answer you want, but there is no point anyone speculating as to whether you will be approved or not.
There are many factors involved.
Just a waiting game.
anyone here could go "yes you'll be approved" or "no you'll be declined" but it would be pure speculation and of no use to you.0 -
forget the mortgage for a week, do the exam.
I am sure you will be fine though.0 -
Thanks for your replies so far.
I appreciate that no-one can say what the decision will be.
I just get the worry in to my head and it's difficult to escape. Just needed to vent my worry and these forums always provide really good support.0 -
There is nothing worse than exam pressure...I know, I keep taking them for last ten years...once it's over things will be easier and you can concentrate on the mortgage - £1100 isn't equal to the debt of a small country, it's pretty low0

Thanks hcb42
Now for the killer - i'm doing accountancy exams. I've learnt so much about money management in the past year or two.
Which i could go back and change some of my bad ways. Just want the mortgage to go through. More for my husband as well because he is very very good with money.
I feel nervous because we have found a house for 'life'
I REALLY hope it will go through!0 -

That's understandable, it's a stressy time. Keep us posted0 -
Why not put off the house buying until after the exams?
Market is going nowhere at the moment.0 -
one other question.
The money i had to pay off the credit cards came from my sister. It was money that she owed me and i said not to worry until i needed it. Well i needed it to pay off for the application!
My bank statement shows up as a 5000 credit and then payments to the cards.
If they question it and i explain that it wasnt a loan but money owed then should that be okay?
This may be a question that an underwriter could answer?0 -
If it's the truth then it's fine!
Now, the real question here is....... are you sure all this 'worry' and being here on the forum isn't simply an excuse for not revising??!!
Stop prevaricating and get on with it (and I speak as the owner of an accountancy practice!)If you feel my comments are helpful then I'd love it if you 'Thanked' me!0 -
thanks tax saver!
fancy helping me with some business valuation questions?
Does Gordon's growth model or DVM bring back any fond memories???0
