Balance Transfer/Money Advice!

in Credit cards
Hello,
I'm just about to finish university (July) and in September I have a firm job offer (that I have accepted) and I will be a full time teacher.
I have a number of interest free overdrafts, both of which will be stop being interest free in July. My debt in total amounts to £1700.
I have tried applying for two balance transfer cards so far and have been declined as I am currently still technically a student. It is such a pain because I will be working and in a good paying job.
I am really wanting to get rid of this debt, so any advice would be much appreciated.
Best wishes

I assume you know you'll need a card offering 'super balance transfers'...and not just any old BT card?missteacher wrote: »I have a number of interest free overdrafts, both of which will be stop being interest free in July.

I'd advise waiting until the end of the year. Spend the interim getting everything else in order, ie on the Electoral Roll, checking your credit reports for any anomolies and making corrections as required.any advice would be much appreciated.0 -
Are you sure that your student overdrafts will become interest bearing when you finish uni? My student ovredraft carried on being interest free for 3 years after I 'graduated' however, they reduced the limit on an annual basis.0
