    Hello everyone,

    I wanna renew my building & contents insurance any good promotional around please? preferrably Churchill :o am not happy with the renewal rate they sent me. Have 5 years or more no claims & yet my insurance gone up by £30! Last year I got it for £131.25 (inc. legal adv) this year they are asking for £165!:eek: called them and they said I can only give you extra 10% off (excluding legal fee).

    Have tried all via cash back link - Aviva, confuse.com, Rac, hasting, post office and a few more but they all wanted over £250ish.
    RIP my dear dear parent : Mum aged 62 (17/5/1990) & Dad aged 89 (23/1/2012)

    Nationwide's house insurance is underwritten by Churchill but don't know how good their prices are. Friend of mine said her renewal had gone up with N'wide so cancelled that policy and set a new one up online and got the new customer discount - sneaky. That might work with Churchill too. Good luck

    Great moneysaver tip - don't go shopping for a few days, like me, still got last weeks shopping money burning a hole in my purse. lol

    No flies on you CW....:rotfl::rotfl:
    I had same prob when my renewal came from Churchill, was really annoyed with the increase as when you are with them
    for 5years you are supposed to get discount, but the increase this year was not going to make it a good offer next year when that would come into play....I got the best deal from Saga this time as I have my car insurance with them......if you get a quote from them for car insurance , just a quote, you don 't have to take it out, they give you 15% dicount off you home insurance...I cannot use compare sites 'cos I have a river in my garden as obviously property is on flood plain and that sets all sorts of alarm bells ringing, so have to use the phone....I got the price to £5 more than last year, which I though was good considering how much insurance has gone up, but the policy has all the bells and whistles......
