Wago connectors

Need to extend wires from ceiling to make it easier to connect a spotlight The plastic connector block that i intended to use has not been much good as the wires keep coming away no matter how much i tighten the screws. Does anyone know if i can get a clamping block similar to the one in the link that will accept cables from both sides so it can be used as an extension?

You would normally use what is in the link - feed cable in one hole and feed out in the other hole.
Do you have 3 cables coming out of the ceiling? if so you it would be better to connect using Wagos above the ceiling and drop a L,N,E tail down.
Wago are connectors that you can hide away and do not need to be accessible, you can even get a nce box that the wagos slot into.0 -

3 cables, each cable has live, neutral and earth with 1 of the blacks being the switched live. Is this picture below right as i cant understand why there isnt 1 port on each side for the cable.
Thanks

If you don't understand the whys and wherefores, you shouldn't be doing this job...
refer it to a qualified sparky.C.R.A.P.R.O.L.L.Z # 40 spanner supervisor. No problem can withstand the assault of sustained thought.Only after the last tree has been cut down. Only after the last fish has been caught. Only after the last river has been poisoned. Only then will you realize that money cannot be eaten."l! ilyë yantë ranya nar vanwë"0 -
As above: refer to an electrician (like me) to do the works if you don't understand - but this work does not come under the part p regulation so there is nothing stopping you doing this if you feel that you can do the job without endangering yourself, others or the building.
Refer to this - http://www.flameport.com/electric/lighting_circuits/lighting_junction_boxes.cs4
3 wires = power in, power out(to next light) and switch line, you connect these as per the link and you run 1 cable down to the light fitting (marked) light on the link.
Instead of using a junction box as per the link, you can use Wagos.
Let us know how you get on.0 -
Wagos aren't like standard terminal strips. They do connect as per your drawing though.0

Dont like the spring clip terminals, all too often I have seen them burn out because of loose connections. Give me a proper terminal strip any day or a junction box.You may click thanks if you found my advice useful0
