Its funny you say that,i have free legal cover with Thompson's via paying my £25 a month union fees every month, and i have used that alot.I last sued my employer (2007) for no win/no fee giving me-£12k, cause of massive incompetence at an incident at work, they deserved it completely.Took two years tho'

Last time I looked it wasn't a 12 month contract anyway, unless you'd made a claim, but I've not read that part of the small print recently.
They certainly said it was 12 months when I signed up, and I think I read it in the small print, too. It's quite cheeky of them not to mention their customer's right to cancel.

Also, did anybody notice that the reason they give for getting rid of Price Promise was because "not many people used it"?, because it seems to me that quite a lot of people should have used it: There seems to be nothing stopping you from going into a shop, buying something, then using price promise to get the item at the internet price!

Section 15.2 tells you of your right to cancel at any time.
