What do you think to this bed in terms of quality and price for a springer spaniel? Its in argos item number 870 / 5565. Sorry I can not add a link as I'm new to the web site.

It's OK. Personally, I prefer a duvet (we use a double as we have two medium sized dogs) and an old duvet cover. Easy to clean, they love to dig it up and burrow into it and much cheaper. I find pet beds never last very long. Argos have a single duvet for less than £7.0

MY Daughter has the smaller one and its fiine. It washes well and always looks smart. But her woofer is only small and is a none sheading dog. I dont know what it would be like once the hairs started sticking to it.
My own dog has a lovely expensive pets at home bed, lol its never used apart from hiding a treat for later in it. My woofer likes the floor, the colder the better,
Have you a Range store? the beds in there are a good price. xRIP TJ. You my be gone, but never forgotten. My springer spaniel would shred that in 2 seconds lol. We bought him a big plastic bed from pets at home and then put a single quilt in it with a nice dinosaur cover on it

Single quilts are only around £5 in wilkinsons.Slimming World - 3 stone 8 1/2lbs in 7 months and now at target :j0 -
I've seen big plastic beds in wilkinsons for £12.99. Has anyone seen them cheaper than this?0

Home bargins have them, cant remember how much but think they were alot cheeper than that0

My dog has an old bread delivery crate (you know the ones the supermarkets use) with the metal bar taken off the front - there's a single duvet in the bottom and a double over the top and spilling out the front.
He lies in all sorts of positions, from squished up in it, to sprawling out the front and seems to love it.
I did try taking it away and just having the duvet but he seems to like the sides (maybe for a sense of security).
As Viktory says, they're very easy to wash, dry in no time on a nice day and you can pick up covers from charity shops very cheaply.
I do also have one of the big plastic dog beds (got off e*bay for 99p!) which he used for a couple of years - however, when he got older and started to get arthritis his shoulder got sore as he always had it sticking out the opening in the front and as this wasn't fully down to the floor I think this is what made it sore.
Haven't had any more problems since I've switched to the full open fronted bread crate!Grocery Challenge £211/£455 (01/01-31/03)

If you want something that is any good a Tuffie is well worth the money:-

Used by those who have working dogs. You can search reviews to see what others think. I would suggest the waterproof one, simple and easy to keep clean.0 -
As I have two large dogs ( lab & gsd ) I used the old futon mattress from my daughters old bunk bed as it already has a removable cover to wash. Before that I too used a cheap double quilt from the market, it had fell off the stall and got dirty so I only paid £4 for it.:DNever play with your Bellybutton your Bum could fall off.:rotfl:0
