Train Ticket 2 Manchester

Hey every1

I am hoping to go to Manchester on the 13th Jan and decided that i will be going by train. I am wondering how i can get the cheapest price for a train ticket. Are there any discount codes, special offers, vouchers or anything to save money! Thanks in advance :)

If you're prepared to be pinned down to travelling on a particular train, you'd get it for £6 each way - Midland Mainline Advance C. If you want flexibility, a saver return is approx £32.
I really must stop loafing and get back to work...

under 26 you can get a young persons rail card
you could also get a family one if you are over 26, it is valid for 2 adults and 4 children (don't quote me) and you do not have to have the same names.

I travel manchester to hartlepool a few times a year, plus shorter more local journies and find my card pays for itself in the discounts.

    hope this helps
