Lloyds TSB Student Account Advice...?

I have a Lloyds TSB student account that I opened in 2008. Currently, my Experian score is very poor at 460 due to defaulting on phone bills around 3 years ago (before I opened this account). Should I wait a while to apply for a Lloyds TSB credit card so my score can improve? Finally, as this is a student account do I need to formally ask to change to a graduate or will they invite me? Also, when they review my overdraft do you think they'll cancel it, keep the same or increase?

Thanks :)

Forget the credit card for at least 6 years from the date of default.
They may well invite you to change the account to a Graduate but don't expect to get a free (or paid for) overdraft or offer of a Graduate loan for the same reason as above.
