Bees

Red tailed bumble bee nest just off my patio, lovely to see them but again my dogs chase them, one of my girls in particular, i'm always shouting Leeeeave the Beeeeeeeee :-)
Mining bees on the back lawn also, just have to be careful not to stand on any.
First year I think I have really appreciated them for the wonderful creatures they are.

I have something that lives in my loft and comes out of the airvents in the bathrooms, I think they are a bee so have left them and taped up vents as its a bit frightening opening the door and finding 20 things buzzing around. I am hoping they arent wasps as seem slightly more docile when the fly out of the vent on side of house.
I must admit i dont go into the loft though to discover whats up there:o

If you have a brave moment, it would be worth making sure that they aren't flying ants.

I have lots of bees - at least 5 types of bumbles, mason and honey bees - plus bee flies - and at least 7 different indigenous ladybirds species.

There do seem to be lots of beasties and fledgling birds around this year, which I am enjoying.
