My B Card has a balance of about £300 on it has has not been above that for years. I have just received a letter from them telling me they have increased my limit from £11,800 to £12,000. Was it worth the stamp?

Probably not, but I bet it has blown a whole load of sunshine across your ego writing such drivel.0

Another newbie who doesn't know how to behave.
It does seem like an odd rise - just £200. Perhaps £12,000 is some kind of magic figure with them. Mine was increased from £10,000 to £12,000 a couple of months ago.
You can only begin to imagine how much sunshine my ego is bathed in right now.0 -

I'm just happy having a £500 credit limit with Capital One with my first credit card after a few years of repaying debt from my younger adulthood. I was expecting £200 but I'm going to behave so I can get higher limits in future. I'm a lot more maturer nowadays.
Gone from Poor to Excellent Credit. Proud of my recovery. Never going back to the sub prime!

At least it shows they don't feel you are as much as a risk as before then, things are on the up! :cool:David

Knowing Barclays, the letter reducing your limit to £500 will follow soon:rotfl:Try to be a rainbow in someone's cloud.0 -

If your balance is around £300 and has been about that for years then why don't you contact Barclaycard and request say, a £1000 limit? That would/could reduce your available credit which may help if applying for another card, loan etc.. It seems pointless "wasting" an excess of £11000+ for a limit you don't use.0
