Potential redundancy - things to consider please

Hi there
My company are currently down sizing and whilst I do not think my job is directly at risk we are all being given 'aspirational interviews'.
I've been pretty down at work for a number of months so this may be my chance to get out of here.
I'm 38 and they are offering 2.1 weeks pay for every full year worked up to a maximum of 25 years.
I've worked at the site for 20 years and 9 months.
As I say I dont think I will be directly at risk but if I was armed with the right information its something I may ask about in the hope they can 'cross match' me.
So can anyone give me outline things to consider please. I've taken a look at the HM revenue site and from what I can see any redundancy payment up to £30k is free from tax and NIC.
Would really appreciate any advice, things to consider etc to help me on this decision.
