Babyliss Gas Hair Styler on plane?

I was hoping to take my butane powered hair styler to Greece.
The literature with it states that they are cleared for carying in packed luggage. I assume this is in the hold and not hand luggage.
There is so much conflicting advice on this could anyone tell me if they have taken one abroad and which bits they put in what luggage?
I was hoping to take the styler and a couple of refills if possible. Doubt I could buy refills where I am going.
I have e-mailed the airline but not had a response.

You can pack in hold luggage the refills, I live in Spain during certain times of the year and my neighbour over there requests if I am bringing over any hold luggage to bring a couple of them over each time. For obvious reasons you are not allowed to bring then on as hand luggage,as for buying at the airport I am pretty sure they would not sell them.

Just wanted to advice on the correct way to carry gas curlers...
You can carry a gas curler with the gas cartridge fitted in hand luggage only, not in the hold. You cannot, however, carry any spare gas cylinders, whether it's in your hand or hold luggage.
To the poster above, I'd like to ask you that you do not pack any cartridges in the hold anymore - even though you want to be nice to your neighbour. These cartridges aren't supposed to be on an aircraft, unless it's a designated cargo aircraft.
To the OP, if the gas curlers you have won't last for the time you're away, you may want to buy some electric ones. There are no restrictions on those.Call me what you like, I was a bit "tiddly" when I chose my username
