Restaurant in/near Llanelli

Can anyone recommend a restaurant in the Llanelli area, not a fast food place but a proper sit down, fork & knife one that does not require advanced booking.

Here you go:

Machynys is lovely, if it's a small party you can probably get away without booking.
Stradey Park Hotel again is lovely, would need to book for a Sunday
Ashburnham Hotel, nice food, very busy on Sundays
Thomas Arms is lovely pub, doesn't need booking
Sandpiper is cheap and cheerful chain pub
Pemberton (Beefeater) another cheap and cheerful chain restaurant, but the food is great!

If you want directions to any just ask!

I am travelling down from Fife but the other party is more local so hopefully she will help with directions, I am also hoping that the hotels that I am booked into will have local recommendations.

The Golden Dragon is a great Chinese restaurant near Asda. Definitely not posh though, in case you need to impress anyone! Staff are friendly, and food is great. Every night except Fri and Sat, they do an all you can eat for about £11 - not a buffet - you order and they bring it, and you can order as much as you like.

It doesn't look much from outside, but we love going there.

Does anyone know if there is an all you can eat buffet in llanelli?

There is a chinese one by Gelli-on, and I think the Ali Raj in Morfa is all you can eat indian. But I've not been to either so not sure what they are like

The chinese restaurant by Gelli Onn has closed down. Not sure if the Ali Raj has an all you can eat buffet but the indian resturant in Murray Street I'm sure has one.
