Current Account for under 21

We've waited for her to get to 18 so she can move on from a toy account to a real one. We've searched the site for the best current accounts

BUT

All of the current accounts recommended either require £500pm to be paid in (she's still in 6th form), or you need to be over 21.

She's good with her money and doesn't need fancy overdraft facilities.

There must be a decent current account that fits the bill, but we're fed up of going to web site after web site to apply for these "great accounts" only to get dumped by an age or minimum amount restriction.

Help.
Thanks
Dave

Why does she need a current account if she doesn't need an overdraft?

I have a Halifax cardcash account (due to bad credit)
    http://www.halifax.co.uk/bankaccounts/cardcash.shtml

and it suits all my needs eg direct debits, chequebook, card for cash withdrawal and use in shops. The electron card can't be used at some online retailers, but that isn't the end of the world.
