Returning split trousers - what are my rights?

Hi, I hope I am posting this in the right forum.
I bought a pair of trousers last week from Zara, wore them for the first time today and this afternoon they completely split along the seam of the crotch as I bent over to change my Son's nappy! Thankfully I was only at home at the time as otherwise that could've been VERY embarrassing!
Anyway, can someone please advise me if I can take them back and what I can expect? Ideally I'd like another pair cos I really like them (despite the obviously poor quality ) but I'm scared they're going to tell my bum's too fat or something! I should note that the trousers are actually quite loose on me!
Thanks in advance!

Take them back with the receipt and tell them you want a new pair.

hi,
you are entitled to get a full refund if you so request, however if all you want is a replacement than there shouldn't be a problem. the item isn't manufactured to a satisfactory standard.
hope you have no problems.
