Im after a little help please, I came on here to ask about my dell desktop not loading past the mobo screen which has been stuck for 20 mins after a windows/Internet explored 9 update
but it has just finally booted into windows, my question now is does it sound if somethings dying? either memorys? I have 2 500gb harddrives so what would be the best way of saving any data possibly if its at risk?
Thanks in advance for any advice you can offer.

Run Chkdsk on your C drive. You wont be able to run it while your operating system is running. The disk checking utility will automatically schedule itself at the next Startup. So select it and then reboot.

Copy your data onto a removeable medium such as a external hardrive or memory stick.0

best way of saving data is to backup, if both disks are full, buy a 1TB usb drive!!

if both discs are full then that will not help.. get a USB portable/external HDD and then when your system does boot up backup any essential documents etc. onto the USB HDD
