Help - no idea what to do this weekend - Manchester area!!

Hi

Could anyone suggest something I could do with family this weekend in the Manchester/Lancashire area - we live in city centre but can travel in car.

We have a 5 month old and don't want to be couped up in our flat all day !!!

    Museum of Science & Industry, Manchester Museum, Lowry, Manchester Art Gallery, Imperial War Museum? All free, all easy to get to.

    If you want to get out of the city, what about one of the National Trust places? Dunham Massey, Style Country Park, Tatton Park or Lyme Park are all perfect for pushing a pram around and will only cost you about a fiver to park or free if you are a member of the National Trust.
