EDF - Totally incompetent

Received a letter from EDF today with my new account number to register for myaccount. There's also a load of bull***t in there about being runner up for best customer satisfaction. Well I don't know how they got this award, as after I registered my details, I got a msg saying that URL cannot be found. This is what I call appalling service especially for online tariff customers. Why they are sending letters to customers asking them to register when clearly they have internal problems with their systems is beyond me. Anyone else having these problems?

Yeah EDF's online service seems to have been undergoing "maintenance" since about 1872.
  • I had been registered on their old online system for many years now and I had no problems logging in. Since I received this letter from them asking me to re-register on their new and improved system, I thought (very naively of me) that the problems with their new system have been resolved. It all comes down to an appalling and disgraceful service. But what really annoys me most, is their cheek to 'blow their trumpet' when in reality, they fail to deliver an acceptable level of customer service. I noticed yesterday they're boasting that they're powering the 2012 olympics. What a joke!!

:rotfl:Funny how no one ever asks my opinion.

I would place EDF, second worst. No one will ever get close to NPower for incompetence.....although ;)

Someone on another thread said we shouldn't chase the best price and base our decision of Supplier on Customer Service surveys.

AFAIK, EDF are 'migrating' accounts from their old system to their new one, which is what is causing delays and problems with the online services. I would say the best time to call them is first thing when they open at 8am ;)
