How long will paypal take as parcel delivered to neighbour not seller

Paypal have told me to send a item back to the seller but they didn't gave me the sellers name, so as i needed one for the courier i put the name that was on the label when the item was sent to me, now i have posted the item with a courier and it's showing delivered - left with neighbour, signatory: john. Now the person i sent the item back to is also called john, now i know there could be john living next door but i think this is funny. So as paypal is showing waiting other party's response i was wondering what happens now as the seller did not receive the parcel.

Did you check the payment for a name? I know people sometimes don't have their name registered, and dont know how they get away with it. Sometimes i get it from their email address.

The courier would not lie in saying that it was left with a neighbour, so the neighbour should take it round or he collect it.

Unless he's claimed otherwise - i would just wait and see what he does next.

As long as the address was ok, you should be fine.

Oh burtons, please give up with ebay. I have never known anyone to have so many problems, for some people face to face transactions are the only way to buy.

The name that payal is showing is a business name but it's different to what they are using in ebay, the address is also different to what they are showing in ebay.

I have been thinking of giving up ebay :p It's just this one seller hermum, he is being a rite nightmare and everyone is leaving negative feedback for him and he just don't care, someone left a negative saying they bought a item and it never turned up and the seller left ebay, so as the seller is back on ebay and changed his id i'm thinking he will sell all his stuff and leave again.

Have you put the tracking into the dispute? If paypal see that it's delivered they may close in your favour.

I put the tracking number in paypal and it's saying we're reviewing the posted information you submitted.
