Can anyone point me towards a reputable website which I can use to form a Limited company, I shall be keeping it dormant for around 6 months.

Thanks

http://www.blueskyformations.co.uk/ the formation is instant from £14.99 shortly after setting a ltd company up you will receive forms from HMRC you will need to complete the one in relation to a dormant company otherwise you will be liable for corporation tax.

i use these and have 3 ltd companies all dormant, just to protect the business names. you will also have a £15 annual filing fee with companies house as even a dormant company needs to file accounts.

    Can also recommend companiesmadesimple

A couple of others to consider are companyformations247 and company-wizard, both .co.uk I think

Be extremely cautious of using this company

The URL belongs to a company called Harkin IT Solutions Limited,
According to companies house this company has a proposal to be struck off (presumably due to its delinquency in providing its annual return and annual accounts - both legally required) A first notice has been posted in the London Gazette, but the compulsory strike off is currently suspended.

  • I use http://www.companiesmadesimple.com for all mine. I love their dashboard and the near immediate interface with Companies House. I also use their other services and get good customer support by phone and email.

If you open it with them you get automatic access to webfiling without having to wait for passwords in the post etc. Top class.

I used Company Wizard www.company-wizard.co.uk. Very easy and quick to do. Also, when I called them with a query a real person answered the phone within seconds!
  • I have used company formations 247 in the past. They have been very efficient and relatively cheap with their bronze package starting at only £16.99.

They also have lots of useful resources for company formation on their website including guides to types of companies and the forms used in the company formation process.
