Laptop Internet problems

Hi,

I am currently having problems with my laptop and I am a bit lost as to what the problem actually is.

Here goes, I have virgin broadband, my internet connection is still working, I can go online on my PS3, I can log on to the internet on my laptop.

The problem is, I cannot open certain pages online.

Examples being, I can open the MSE homepage, but if I try to log in to the site or open the forums, the connection just seems to time out.

Another site would be hsbc, if I type in the address, I wait and the connection times out.

Other sites work ok though?

I have tried changing the firewall settings, turning it off completely, clearing the history.

(BTW I am using a different computer to post this!)

Hi, I am in the same position as you - I am currently able to gain access to the forums at work but not at home.

I have just post the very same query and was given this link to read http://www.theregister.co.uk/2011/06/03/virgin_media_routing_problem/ sounds like applies to both of us

Thanks for that, I was really puzzled as to what had happened.

Yes, I have been suffering from this too - very annoying!

I am having the same problem. I cannot get onto MSE from my connection. I am currently connected to another wireless connection so I can gain access to the site.
