For Markies, the sales assistant told me today that as far as she knew there was an instore offer on uniforms starting Thurs/Fri of next week.

Polo tshirts are really good sizes from M & S, stay the same size after washing and tumble drying.

I found the quality of the girls 3/4 sleeve shirts really poor last year. I got other DD Sainsbury's ones and they've lasted much better. I usually only buy trousers from M and S now.

trying to order 2 school items and 1 none school and it only credits me £2.33 for the delivery (so I pay 1/3 £1.17) what a rip off so it's untrue to say you get free del on school items:mad:

The reduced trousers don't allow free delivery for some reason, got some more tights for £2 though, or rather £1.60 per pack of two. :)

will have a look at sainsburys. m&s have elastic adjustment, its the ones without fasteners that i need - he's only 3 and struggles fastening things!

I got these today for my DS from M&S, and they are just pull on (or pull up!) no zip, fasteners, etc, and with elastic inner waist adjusters:

    hi
can anyone help with asda sizing (for the grey trousers in this offer)
DS is 4 but has outgrown the 5-6 adjustable waist (with zip) trousers I got last year from asda, they are OK lengthwise but need bigger waist.
Should I order the 6-7 yrs in this offer or buy from next? m&s seem to have too many quality issues reading their plus size reviews.
    Thanks!

    You're very welcome BlueRoses.

I'll be taking a bag of clothes into Oxfam (including 1 M&S item) tomorrow to claim a £5 off M&S voucher - need to spend £35. Although last year I ended ordering online as they never had DS's size trousers instore. If it's the same again this year I'll go through Topcashback where there's 3.03% off M&S.

    Every little helps.

bah, they sell plus size trousers but not shorts ... wider kids get hot in summer too :(

But that makes sense to me because you can go up a size or two with shorts to get a better fit on the waist (they will be a bit longer, but that's often not a problem - my boys actually prefer longer shorts), but going up trouser sizes ends up with them definately being too long, hence the need for the plus size.
