Hi,
At some point large company’s, not all because you don’t need to if you don’t want, but some decide to float on the stock market, as we all know.
My question is, how do we find out when they are going to or are thinking about floating on the stock market. Companies must release this information?
I once read Richard Bransons autobiography, and he explained a problem, I forget the specifics, but needed investment and floated on the stock market to keep the company going. He described the public turn out of support as amazing, so the public must have know this prior to him floating?
I hope this doesn’t sound like a stupid questions, I have done lots of reading recently about investing money, but cant seem to find a answer to my question.
Thank you,
Ben.

Yes, the company would announce is way long before it happens.
When a company does, they will offer an IPO - Initial Public Offering, and state how many shares they want to gain etc.0 -
Right,
Thank you very much, a nice simple answer I was looking for.
Cheers. Can crack on now0 -
If you google 'new issues' or 'IPOs', you will find various sites that list future or intended new listings.
But not many of them are open to the public to subscribe to these days.0
