Part of the Furniture Combo Breaker I've been Money Tipped!
Hi

I've been using MS Security Essentails for a while and used to scan my laptop (running Vista) weekly but used to get an 'at risk' warning which said I had to scan my pc as i hadn't run a scan for a while, so i changed the schedule to daily, but it still tells me (like now as I am running a scan) that i haven't scanned in a while. It always comes up with no viruses but am wondering if I should be trying something else. Scan also takes a few hours even tho I don't think there is that much on my laptop. Any advice please? Thank You.

    Try avast 6 free instead.

With a resident scanner you shouldn't need to do manual scans, unless you suspect a problem, as viruses should be picked up on access.
