Help i cant remember my old accounts

Hi guys,

Im new to this site but recently saw the PPI feature on Watchdog.
In the past i have had loans with Cahoot, Northern Rock and credit cards with Barclays, Virgin, MBNA, Egg etc etc....the list goes on and there are probably some i have forgotten! Not to mention the store cards ive had too.

I may be owed money due to this new PPI law but i have no idea how i can find out my account details.

Can anyone please advise how i can find out this information and check to see if i am owed anything. I cant be the only person this has happened to surely??

Many thanks, and hoping someone can help!

Kelly :)

Hi there, if you repaid any of these off in the last 6 years and you know the companys then send each company £1 and ask for a copy of your credit agreement.

You could look at your credit report, this may help you to see all the loans/cc you had, this will not tell you if you had ppi so you need copies of the agreements.

All you need to put a claim in for mis sell are the agreement numbers, and reasons for the mis sells.
Take a look here for reasons for mis sell.

Despite what was said, there is not a new law, the court hearing actually didnt change anything as the banks lost. The Watchdog thing is very mis-leading as they made out everyone who had PPI is due a refund, this is incorrect.

PPI is also not illegal or wrong. Its just that many policies have been mis-sold, it doesnt mean that all were.
You havent said any reasons why you shouldnt of had the PPI or that there was anything wrong with the PPI. You dont even know if you have it.

The easiest way to find out if you have taken it, is to contact each provider and ask them. Alternatively, just do what amersall said.
