Welcome Finance/Bright Finance

I have a loan with Welcome Finance. I applied for a refund of my PPI and they wrote back to me saying that Bright Finance is the company who arranged my ppi and they gave me the address of Bright Finance to send my claim to (this was sent on 18th March 2011)
Today Royal Mail returned my envelope with a sticker attached saying "adressee gone away"
How have Bright finance "gone Away" and where to lol!!
Any ideas how i should go about reclaiming this.
Thanks:(

What address did you use? On the FSA website if says

Unit 1 Sheffield 35A Business Park
    Churchill Way
    Chapeltown
    Sheffield
    South Yorkshire
    S35 2PY

    But no longer authorised?

Perhaps they are in liquidation? In fact they are..... just checked on Companies house

    Name & Registered Office:
    BRIGHT FINANCE LIMITED

    Company No. 04203011

    Date of Incorporation: 20/04/2001

When was the PPI sold to you?

Hi I had the same happen. You have to goto FSCS as Bright no longer trading. I had a questionnaire from FSCS today which I completed and returned to them. I'm never had any paperwork from Bright re PPI, so was surprised when welcome sent me the letter. I will keep you posted

If your loan was after 14th january 2005 then go to FSCS give them a ring and they will send you the paper work.

    http://www.fscs.org.uk/contact-us/

If it was before then you will have to find out who the insurer was and put a mis sell in to them.
If they reply with a no then you have the option of going to FOS, as the insurer may have been regulated.
  • Can anyone tell me the insurers for Bright Finance in Nov 2003 or how I can find out?

    Thanks
