The ability to walk in to a branch and ask staff there to initiate an FP on your behalf is (has?) being withdrawn.

No change to the online functionality though.

Yes. It's been 'withdrawn' whilst they integrate systems. I agree the functionality is still present within online banking, as is their ability to click both in branch on and on the phone. However, I've noticed that the functionality is ceasing to work (as in I couldn't do it at all, and neither could they on the phone). That fact that they were able to in the branch was explained by me being 'lucky', on this occasion but that essentially "it's all over".
We all looked like idiots in the store and it was very infuriating. I'd been trying since Friday morning and had gotten wet through, going to the branch to do this.

As I say, I've seen no release about this and it's therefore the first I've heard of it too. This in the branch by both a non junior member of staff and the manager. The site is pretty efficient at trying to make me sign up for credit that I've oh so luckily been "pre cleared for", I know that much.

So, I throw it out there. As confused and unable to double check this statement as I am. Is it working online, despite the buttons being there though. Not for me it isn't. Somethings gone wrong with it, I know that much. It used to be pretty reliable. Bear in mind that this was for a transaction I'd done loads of times and to Lloyds, too....

I must be incredibly lucky, as I have not had any problems sending online FP when I've needed to, although I only send about 3 or 4 a month from my Halifax account
Debt free and staying that way!

I could also confirm based on my own experience using it that outward FP from Halifax to other UK banks account is hit and miss ...

I have not had any problem with Loyds TSB sofar it is always FP.

Yes.. Not lloyds... but HBOS.. The whole faster payments....system. They told me they're withdrawing it. I only mentioned LLoyds because they are part of the same group and my payment was to them, therefore the receiving bank was not the issue.
