I like many other MSE members have an Orchid Dialler on the phone at home, and ignoring the fact that the software is a pain in the backside to use, it works well, and I would recommend it to you all.
My vent though is the scheming gits at BT who sent a half wit of an engineer out to 'fix' my ADSL connection after V21/Biscit went bust/whatever....
I moved to BE broadband, and had to be reconnected to ADSL, well BT made a good job of ensuring it took longer than need be, and guess what despite the best efforts of the superb tech support at BE it still did not work, so BT arrived promptly disconnected my Dialler and said problem solved, then wanted to take my Orchid Dialler away!!! Obviously they were told over my dead body, and another call to BE, who got BT to send an ADSL engineer (who BT should have sent in the first place) to the exchange and hey presto it now works!!! WITH the ORCHID DIALLER.
So top marks to BE BROADBAND, and ORCHID and beware theiving gits from BT!

The Orchid Dialler is an excellent little gizmo that plugs into your phone line and saves you a packet, thanks to Martin!
