devoice, can she claim

Hi,

can anyone give me advice on this, i want to try and start a business by getting a mortgage on my mum and dads house. i have been separated from my wife for 1 year now can she demand money from my new business or force me to give her money from my mums house, when i look to get devoiced.

    The simple answer is yes. You are not "devoiced" but you will be "devoiced" by the time the bills come in - speechless indeed :) That does not mean she would get anything - but it is certainly possible and you should not make any plans without being aware of the legal ramifications of your decisions. So legal advice is needed - something that does not come free and not on the internet

    sounds great lol, thanks, i thought with me paying rent on another property i could prove that we wasn't together. but looks like i need advice. thanks

    You are "together" for as long as there is a marriage contract - and depending on the circumstances you may be "together" for a long time after it is ended!

    Definitely get the divorce proceedings under way as soon as you can, because your plan has the potential to be really really messy! What you're after is a clean break settlement - I hope there are no children?

    In that case - you are together for the rest of your lives. Anything you earn will be assessed for maintenance. As it should be. They are your kids too. Why should you potentially make a fortune out of your business and walk away from them? Or did you happen to forget the two children you have in the first post?

    no don't get me wrong i am paying for the kids not a problem with them at all. Im just on about the devoice that's all the kids are first priory in my life so i have no problem at all in paying for them

    Good luck wiith that simple view of life. See a lawyer. You won't find it that easy.
