Pro's and con's of being a business seller please?

I've always been a bit of a yo-yo dieter and NEVER got rid of my smaller clothes because I've always had the thought 'One day I will fit back into that'...anyway 3 years later I have not and we're saving to go away next year so decided to have a well overdue clear out!

Anyway, I want to list them all on ebay and get rid of ASAP rather than doing it little bits here and there.

Because I have a lot of items to sell at once I was wondering if it would be better to become a business seller?

Is it quite straight forward and all I have to fill out is my 'Company Name' and address??

What are the pro's and con's...I've heard I won't get my 100 free listings a month?

Also, how does it work with Paypal, will it automatically upgrade itself or will I have to sort that out seperately?

If you are selling your own items there is no need to register as a business seller. I can't think of any advantages in doing so if you don't have to.

I probably have over 300 items to sell plus shoes and some bags?

If you're selling your own items being registered as a business seller on Ebay does not mean you need to be registered as a business with HMRC or pay tax on the sales (to be sure on your circumstances get advice from HMRC).
As far as being registered as a business on Ebay the fees are in general lower for business sellers, obviously not the 99p listing fees and the listings on free listing days, but the final value fees are and you may also end up getting extra discounts as a Top Rated and/or Power seller if you have that many listings.
