    they are NOTHING like GHDs
i use the salon wide plate GHDs, these are lightweight (almost flimsy)
i used them yesterday on half my hair, & ghds on the other
the ghds straighten better and it lasted longer

but they are ok for a spare (while your GHDs are being repaired)

I have some wide Remington straighteners which I love and thought I'd give these a go. They do seem lightweight and flimsy. I will keep them as a spare in case my others break but wouldn't use them as my permanent straighteners. I've got thick long hair so maybe for someone with less hair they would be ok.
(I've never used GHDs so can't comment).

I did say in my opinion. Visually they are nothing like GHDs, however, in my opinion & on my long, thick hair, these straighten equally as well as my GHDs. I did buy them as a spare/ holiday pair. Just thought I would share my opinion as we are all entitled to them, didn't intend to cause any offence to anyone.

I don't use wide plated straighteners. All my GHDs have been the thin standard ones. Can't wait to try these for the price! These will be my spares but the 'spec' on the box is very similar to the GHDs :)

Mine arrived yesterday and IMO they are AWFUL :( I am really really disapponted. I have quite fine hair and I feel as if they don't even 'meet' when you clamp them over your hair if you see what I mean? I am not a GHD die hard by the way and have had various makes of straighteners over the years which I've been happy with but these are the worst I've ever used. Shame.

hi mine arrived wednesday and have just used them, i have long very thick wavy hair and are pleased well shocked work really well
the reason i have quoted above is you say they don't meet well i thought that but had a play and they do but also they is a little bit at the tip that sort of is on a spring and pushes the plates together
i have only used ghd's once and prefer my babyliss but these are good like the long plate
    very pleased with them
