Do not buy from deal universe

I purchased an Apple MacBook Air from this company via eBay. It arrived today and I could have burst into tears. It arrived in the new MacBook Air box yet inside was a completely different Apple laptop, no instructions, a dodgy two pin lead with Japanese stickers on it, all wrapped in dirty bubble wrap.

Their claim was the Air was brand new and the box had never been opened. This is clearly not the case. The company claim that the laptop differing from the box itself is merely cosmetic and they will not give a refund but have offered me £100 off my next purchase with them.

Ebay have since withdrawn the item from their site because of dodgy goings on (which I knew nothing about until I checked my messages earlier) and are therefore not going to assist with contacting the seller.

Trading Standards are now getting involved through the Sale of Goods Act. They believe that I have a good case.

This is a warning to you all!!!!
